Before sipping FN Red Hot Mojitos in a room filled with floating rougevotives and flowers, Brian Atwood stopped on the carpet for a photo op with his mom, Yolanda Stemer. The proud parent reminisced with The Daily about Atwood’s childhood before she presented him with the Designer of the Year Award. “Imagine a teenager up until 2 a.m. designing things,” she said. ”And a mother screaming, ‘Go to bed, enough already!’” But Atwood was all smiles. “I know she won’t embarrass me,” he said.
